UMA is seeking to employ qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position: Loader Operator

Loader Operator Position

The Loader Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating underground loader/bogger equipment to load, haul and dump broken rock or ore from draw points and loading bays to designated stockpiles, ore passes or tipping points.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate underground loader/bogger to muck, load and transport ore and waste to designated stockpiles, ore passes, crushers or trucks.

• Conduct pre-start inspections, identify equipment defects and report faults promptly.

• Operate safely and efficiently in narrow and confined underground working areas.

• Follow approved mine plans and shift instructions to achieve production targets.

• Perform routine operator maintenance, housekeeping and equipment cleaning as required.

• Maintain effective communication with supervisors, Jumbo Operators, truck operators and other underground personnel.

• Comply with all site safety procedures, operating standards and ground control requirements.

Desired Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Minimum of a High School Certificate.

• Certificate or coursework in Mining, Engineering, or related technical field.

• Proven experience operating underground boggers.

• Familiarity with mine haulage systems and ground stability hazards.

• Good spatial awareness and equipment control.

• Valid heavy machinery operating certification.

• Previous exposure to mining, construction, heavy equipment operation, or related technical fields will be an advantage.

• Willingness and ability to work in underground conditions on a roster basis.

• Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving and operating licenses (C & E Classes) and can drive SUV underground.
