Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and monitor their general condition and vital signs.

• Provide appropriate nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards and procedures.

• Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during examinations, procedures and surgeries.

• Prepare patients for clinical procedures and provide appropriate post-procedure care.

• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment, medication and follow-up care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and nursing records.

• Maintain proper infection prevention and control standards.

• Ensure nursing areas, equipment and supplies are properly maintained.

• Maintain patient confidentiality, professionalism and good interpersonal relationships.

• Work effectively with other members of the healthcare team.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Nurse Manager or Management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.

• Must be registered and licensed to practice with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.

• Previous nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.

• Compassionate, professional, responsible and patient-centred.
