Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Prevention and Detection of Crime.
Apprehension and Prosecution of Criminals.
Ensuring peaceful and tranquil working atmosphere.
Risk analyses and Corrective actions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure Protection of staff, clients, visitors and properties at all managed Cell sites.
Ensure Protection of staff, clients, visitors and properties on company premises.
Ensure Guards perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
Liaise and interact with the emergency support services (Fire service, the Police and the Ambulance service).
Report all security activities / guard’s welfare to the Operations Manager/MD
Enforce all Security, Safety and Quality Regulations at all sites/premises.
Ensure payment of guards by Security Company is done monthly by obtaining evidence of payments from the Security Company and Sharing with Management.
Ensure SOW issued on a PO to Security Company every month defining the placement of 24/7 and caretaker Guards on our network.
Enforce HSE Absolute Rules.
Preventing any form of financial loss
Reduction of theft
Weekly reporting of security issues
Daily reporting of theft or intrusions
Develop, enforce, and monitor security policies, protocols, and SOPs across telecom sites
Investigate and report security incidents, ensuring timely response and corrective action
Train staff on security protocols, emergency response, and awareness of local threats.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with SHERQ policies and procedures;
Take personal responsibility for your Health and Safety and others within the company;
Ensure not to put other people, fellow employees and members of the public at risk by what you do or do not do in the course of your work.
Participate in inspections and investigations of accidents;
At all-time wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed or required;
Conduct thorough risk assessments within their respective zones or areas of responsibility.
Ensure compliance with Lifesaving rules (LSR) and other safety protocols on the ground.
Provide leadership and guidance to field technicians, ensuring they adhere to safety guidelines and best practices.
Monitor and assess safety performance in the field, identifying potential hazards and implementing control measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement safety initiatives and improve safety culture in the field.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety standards and LSR.
Provide timely feedback and coaching to field technicians to improve their safety awareness and performance.
Enforce compliance with Lifesaving rules and safety protocols on the ground.
Allocate resources and prioritize safety initiatives within their zones.
Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify corrective actions.
Apply the stop work authority in case of non-compliance with the Lifesaving rules.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervising the work of the Private Security Company.
GENERAL DUTIES
Any other duties that may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATION
HND /Degree in any related field.
EXPERIENCE
2 to 5years’ minimum experience in security Field
