Responsible for providing accurate and timely survey data to support safe, efficient and compliant underground and surface mining operations. Ensures effective survey control, reconciliation, void management and statutory compliance to support operational and planning requirement

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote collaboration with production, technical services, and planning teams to enable accurate and efficient survey support.

  • Ability to survey headings daily and issue survey memos for mining crews.

  • Daily monitoring of over breaks and underbreaks

  • End of month measurements of all headings/pits and calculate end of month volumes.

  • Ability to measure end of month solids formation and map out faces and intersection.

  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in working areas at all times.

  • Well experienced in the use of Total Stations, TS 16, TPS 1203+

  • Use of Optech Cavity Monitoring Systems (CMS)& MDL C-ALS laser system to survey stopes and voids.

  • Ability to use Slim Gyroscope for uphole and downhole surveys of production holes.

  • Have field experience in General Underground Survey duties.

  • Setting out of drill holes and pickups

Desired Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Ability to work independently and apply established engineering standards

  • Proficiency in mining software (Deswik, Surpac, Mine Sched, Drone or similar) will be an added advantage.

  • Membership in a recognized professional engineering body

  • Must possess a valid Ghanaian driver’s license C & E classes.

  • Assist with preparation of monthly production performance reports and ensure alignment with targets

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Skilled in collating data required for reporting accurate weekly/monthly production performance reports and present them to senior surveyor on time
