JOB PURPOSE

Zonda Tec Ghana Limited, a leading automobile assembling, selling, and servicing company with branches across Ghana, is seeking a results-driven Tender Officer to join our team in Tema. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing government and corporate tender opportunities for our portfolio of world-class vehicle brands—Shantui, Howo, Sitrak, Sinotruk, GWM, and Dongfeng. This role involves end-to-end tender management, from market prospecting to bid submission and post-bid evaluation, ensuring full compliance with procurement standards while positioning Zonda Tec as the preferred automotive supplier in Ghana.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure strict compliance with the Public Procurement Act, Tender Policies, and Zonda Tec’s internal governance frameworks.

• Assist in developing and implementing robust policies and procedures for the management and administration of Tenders, ensuring alignment with national procurement standards and minimizing legal and financial risk.

• Proactively scout for tender opportunities across government ministries, state agencies, NGOs, and private corporations requiring commercial vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and passenger vehicles.

• Verify the authenticity of all tenders and contracts, ensuring they align with Zonda Tec’s product categories (Shantui, Howo, Sitrak, Sinotruk, GWM, Dongfeng).

• Maintain a sharp eye for emerging leads in the infrastructure, mining, construction, logistics, and public transport sectors.

• Draft, compile, and arrange all required tender documentation, including technical proposals, pricing schedules, company profiles, and after-sales service commitments.

• Ensure that all bid submissions are accurate, technically sound, commercially competitive, and delivered within the stipulated deadlines.

• Coordinate pre-tender meetings, site visits, and bid clarification sessions with procurement entities to address technical and contractual requirements.

• Liaise closely with internal corporate heads, the sales team, and the service department to align on pricing, vehicle specifications, warranty terms, and after-sales support for tender submissions.

• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders in government agencies, including procurement officers, evaluation committees, and decision-makers, to position Zonda Tec as a reliable partner.

• Maintain a comprehensive tender calendar, tracking all upcoming deadlines, submission stages, and post-bid activities.

• Prepare detailed analytical reports on current and past bids, tracking win/loss results, identifying patterns, and recommending strategic improvements.

• Develop and deliver professional presentations on Zonda Tec’s vehicle portfolio (Shantui, Howo, Sitrak, Sinotruk, GWM, Dongfeng) and after-sales service capabilities to prospective clients.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Software Proficiency: Must be highly proficient in the Public Procurement Authority (PPA)'s GHANEPS software for electronic tender and bid submissions.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the automotive/heavy equipment industry, including vehicle specifications, technical parameters, and after-sales service structures, is a strong advantage.

• Attention to Detail: Exceptionally meticulous with a zero-tolerance approach to errors in documentation and compliance.

• Integrity: Must demonstrate unwavering honesty and ethical conduct in all procurement and stakeholder dealings.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in corporate marketing and client engagement.

• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams—sales, technical, finance, and service—and perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

• Strategic Acumen: Strong ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue tender opportunities that drive business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years of proven experience in tender bidding, procurement, or business development, preferably within the automotive, heavy equipment, or engineering sectors in Ghana.
