JOB SUMMARY
The warehouse will be responsible for managing the inventory of raw materials, finished products, and other supplies. This role includes receiving and issuing materials, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouses of the company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inventory Management
Receive, inspect and record materials and supplies
Store materials and products in designated locations for easy retrieval and efficient space utilization
Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders when inventory reaches reorder points
2. Stock control
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with inventory records.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management sheet
Report discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records to the inventory manager
3. Material Handling
Issue materials and supplies to production as needed
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or contamination.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely availability of materials
4. Record keeping
Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing materials, including quantities, dates and suppliers
Prepare and submit inventory reports to management as required
Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
5. Warehouse Operations
Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment
Implement and adhere to safety procedure and guidelines.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks and hand trucks
6. Coordination and Communication
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and logistics providers for the timely delivery of materials
Communicate effectively with the production team and other departments to ensure smooth operations
Address and resolve any issues related to inventory or supply chain disruptions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including supervisory roles
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices
Experience with ERP systems
Knowledge of safety regulations and material handling procedures
