Job Description

• Researches and identifies potential threats, installs software, implements security measures and monitors IT systems & networks.
• Develops, implements, tests and reviews the organization's information security
• Defines, creates and maintains the documentation for certification and accreditation of each information system (IEEE / ISO)
• Designs appropriate security solutions and oversees its implementation
• Protects information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
• Recognizes security problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations.
• Assesses current security situation, evaluates trends and make recommendations.
• Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
• Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Proactively assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability and make recommendations
• Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating security system status.
• Communicates with vendors to obtain configurations and best practice recommendations.
• Trains and advises team members and other departments on IT Security issues.
• Performs IT Engineer role and support team members
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related discipline
• Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP)
• 5 years’ work experience Professional certification- MCSE, MCSA or equivalent
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in:
• Windows Group Policy
• Windows server 2003, 2008, Red Hat enterprise server, Linux CentOs, Solaris
• Storage - EMC, Netapp, security
• Backup solutions
• Virtualization solutions
• Database security
• Security Application – Firewalls, Honey-pot
• Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices. 
• Experience with security practices of Intranet and Extranet
• Support day-to-day administration of various firewalls
