Required Skills or Experience

As part of a small core team, you must have the passion, creativity and energy to spearhead the company’s ambitious growth plans. With a strong work ethic, you must be hard-working with a genuine can-do attitude; naturally disciplined, you can work autonomously and operate both at the strategic and granular levels.

As such, we are keen to speak with well-educated and entrepreneurial professionals with an established network throughout Africa, a passion for business development and a strong commitment to bringing sustainable prosperity to the region. With an international background and a global outlook, the ideal candidate will be well-travelled and have spent substantial time in East and West Africa. Furthermore, he/she must meet the following criteria:

• MBA and 10 years in a Senior Executive position. Substantial experience in business development, client relationship management, transactions across Africa and, in particular, West Africa
• Ideally the person will have worked for an International Management Consulting firm (big or small); also entrepreneurial Investment Bankers now looking to make a difference in a smaller organization are encouraged to apply
• Established network throughout East and West Africa.
• Passion for politics, finance, economics and business
• Entrepreneurial and driven
• Gravitas and leadership skills to engage corporate, policy and political leaders; manage complex projects and lead teams simultaneously
• Proven track-record identifying and managing complex bids and proposals
• Collaborative leadership capability facilitating teamwork to achieve corporate objectives while promoting a culture of common purpose
• Track record guiding teams and projects from conception to implementation
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels with tact, diplomacy and poise
• Operating with the highest integrity, confidentiality and discretion
• Intellectual curiosity, proven ability to exercise good judgment
• Diplomatic, entrepreneurial and strategic thinker
• Multitasker with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Creative self-starter, naturally disciplined, with the ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Available for international travel (approximately 20-30%)
