Job Description

Our client, a leading supplier to the Cable Management and Structural Support Systems Industry in Southern Africa with representations in fifty countries is currently looking to hire a proactive Territory Sales Manager to support their operations in Ghana.

ROLE PROFILE

The Sales Manager will be responsible for providing effective planning, direction and leadership to the sales team by implementing activities to achieve sales and functional goals that are aligned with the organisation’s vision and goals. He or she will also focus on sales growth related to organisation-wide goals and objectives.

DUTIES

Strategy

  • Establish sales strategies and set goals to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Establish targets with sales team on market share development and new product rollout.
  • Provide Quarterly Sales Review and Performance
  • Develop and maintain new relationships with key customers as well as vendors
  • Proactively address changes in the market and develop strategies for competition

People Development        

  • Set expectations, lead and motivate team
  • Ensure company policies including communicating and implementing company initiatives are adhered to.

Operations

  • Develop operational strategies that support company pricing policies.
  • Ensure resolution of customer service, conflict
  • Create and manage sales budget

Finance          

  • Ensure profit and loss budgets meet expectations
  • Conduct financial reviews with Chief Finance Officer

Required Skills or Experience

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (marketing)
  • Master`s degree will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in sales and marketing preferably in trade of consumer durable or industrial products
  • Previous sales experience in wire & cable industry

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a proven track record of sales performance
  • Ability to build authentic relationships
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrate presentation skills including excellent verbal, written and listening abilities
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
  • Thinks team first and promotes success in terms of team.
  • Ability to travel frequently (50%) including overnight to other office locations, customers and vendors as necessary.
  • Must be presentable and trustworthy and capable of carrying out his duties without being managed on a full time basis.
  • The individual must be fluent in English
  • Must have a business acumen and understand costing and figures
  • Must be fully computer literate as he will have to carry out transactions on the system
  • Must be technically minded (electrical background an advantage).
