JOB PURPOSE
To manage business development, commercial operations and profitability of the company’s products targeted at corporate institutions, groups and strategic partners (brokers, financial institutions and other collaborators).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical/Operations duties
- Develop business objectives for the target groups and translate them into targets for the working team.
- Prepare annual budget, manage income and expenditure, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Identify and harness new client opportunities, while retaining and upgrading existing customer base.
- Identify relevant strategic partners, negotiate and scope the terms of collaboration and ensure that the company continues to derive anticipated benefits.
- Build strong relationships with key clients, brokers and other strategic partners; represent the company at programs and events that build the company’s reputation.
- Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, surveying consumer needs and trends, tracking competitors.
- Liaise with the other business teams to ensure service excellence and flawless implementation of promotional programmes.
- Select, orient, train, assign, schedule and coach assigned employees and agents in conjunction with Human Resource unit.
- Provide effective leadership and strategic direction for junior colleagues by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions.
- Assist management to ensure that the operations and implementation procedures are consistent with corporate objectives and regulatory policies.
- Ensure timely submission and review of reports to appropriate authorities; weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
