Job Purpose
Participate in providing a clear understanding of the laws and regulations in general, and relating to the
water sector in particular, for compliance
Key Accountabilities

• Assist in reviewing of all laws, rules and regulations relating to an issue/matter
• Assist in drafting and processing legal documents for the Company (e.g.. bonds, deeds of assignment, tenancy agreement, title deeds, leases. right of way. etc.) in line with prescribed legal process to ensure conformity with the laws and regulations of the land,
• Assist in providing legal advice on contract negotiations, management and administration to protect the legal interest of the company.
• Assist in vetting all foreign and local Contracts to ensure that the requisite performance bonds and Contract are in order before recommending for signature,
• Represent the company its employees on both Civil and Criminal matters to ensure the protection or the corporate interest at all times.
• Liaise with external solicitors or retained lawyers to provide legal advice to the organisation.

Required Skills or Experience

• University degree in Law and a qualified certificate in law, Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related.
• Professional qualification in law Membership of the Ghana Bar Association
• A minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience,

Knowledge and Skills

• In depth knowledge of Law reports, statutes, Acts, rules. regulations, etc.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion and conflict management skills
• Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, etc.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
