Job Description

The Managing Director will have overall responsibility for the successful operation of the company, prosecuting its mission and delivering on its vision. The selected candidate will:

• In conjunction with the Board, devise the Company’s strategic direction and implement such strategy
• Have bottom line responsibility for operations and activities of the various functions/departments in the company ensuing efficiency
• Undertake business and corporate planning and ensure achievement of all set targets.
• Have overall responsibility for development planning and implementation, production and operational management, financial management, budgeting and people management.
• Have overall responsibility for planning, design, setting up, execution and implementation of contracts, works and Activities in relation to the Company’s development phases.
• Ensure effective management of all required stakeholder relations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Ensure effective and timely reporting to the Board and shareholders as required
• Also set up an effective interface between Board and staff, as required.

Required Skills or Experience

It is expected that the candidate will have:

• A University degree in Engineering, Environment science or a related field plus a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Marketing or related field
• Minimum of fifteen years experience, five of which should have been in a management position, preferably in a manufacturing, processing, industrial or related organization.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
