Accra-based company is seeking to employ a Deputy Store Manager to become part of our vibrant team.

Tasks and responsibilities for this role would include the following:

• Goods management
• Trading space management
• Customer service
• Retail partners management
• Sales (check-out) management
• Non-conforming products management
• Managing people, store operations and store environment to achieve sales, service, organisation, customer satisfaction and profitability goals (supervision of attendance and working schedules preparation)
• Ensuring adequate staffing and security for guests and staff
• Overseeing and driving daily sales performance
• Maintaining service and operational standards
• Preparing cash reports and merchandise orders

Required Skills or Experience

• 2+ years; supervisory/management experience in a retail sales environment or similar fast paced, customer service environment
• Higher education
• Experience of work on store opening projects is preferred
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Previous experience in a retail sales environment with increasing levels of responsibility and strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead/direct, coach and train others in a retail setting, and the ability to relate well using communication, interpersonal, and related skills required;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and  IT systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, Oracle, Axapta etc) – to be tested on;
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
