Job Description

Our client a financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana is looking for a proactive and highly motivated Head of Collection to help with their operations in Accra.

Role Profile

The successful candidate will manage the entire collection department and exceed departmental target and goals set.

 Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for all collection policies and procedures including planning, evaluating, implementing and continuously improving all aspects of collection functions and processes
• Responsible for managing collections efforts through call centre operations.
• Lead and manage a collections team of 6 – 10 executives.
• Responsible for the entire collection interaction plan including evaluating, optimizing, development and implementing.
• Improving all aspects of collection functions and processes throughout A/B testing, research activities such as focus group and surveys.
• Responsible for ensuring consistent training and quality assurance practices across the collection team.
• Monitor loan customers account to ensure that loan defaulters pay back as arranged and maximise collections
• Ensure that Loan defaulters are contacted and arrange collection plans that are in line with collection policies and procedures with the loan defaulters

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related, Masters preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in collections management of high volume loan services.

Relevant Skills

• Proven experience in developing, training and managing call centres
• Experience with e-business or an online product – Advantage
• Good analysis skills
