Job Description

Role Summary:

• The purpose of this role is to assist with Financial Reporting and ensure continuous improvement, high quality and integrity of financial reporting.

Role Accountabilities:

• Recording of financial transactions (i.e. Bullion revenues and month-end accruals) in SAP in accordance with IFRS
• Preparing of reconciliations, and raising journals entries
• Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial reporting.
• Processing and submission of VAT returns
• Assist with the process of production of financial reports under IFRS
• Non-current assets accounting including transfers from CAPEX to non- current assets, accounting for depreciation, and reconciliation between general ledger and fixed assets register
• Assist the Chief Accountant with the month-end close activities and reporting
• Assist in the preparation of management accounts/HFM pack to meet tight reporting deadlines
• Assist the Chief Accountant in preparing quarterly reporting appendixes(notes) and other financial reports
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief accountant

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor Degree (Accounting and Finance) or its equivalent plus minimum of three (3) years of working experience.
• Final Level or qualified ACCA, ICA, or CIMA
• Must have technical knowledge of IFRS
• Proficient in the use of one ERP SAP Accounting package
• Strong computer skills - Microsoft office package, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams.    
• Highly motivated individual who demonstrates initiative and has the ability to handle large and varied workloads and meet deadlines.
