Job Description

1. Job Tile:  Certification Officer
2. Department: Administration
3. Reports to:  Managing Director

Job Purpose
The Certification Officer is in charge of implementation and certification according to social standards, Global GAP and organic standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

FLO Fairtrade Certification

• Carry our bi annual internal audits
• Report to management of implementation of the FLO standards
• Follow up on corrective actions and communicate with FLO international
• Manage all relevant documentation for Fairtrade Certification
• Serve as fairtrade officer of the company
• Monitor fairtrade premium committee
• Prepare and lead annual fairtrade audit

Global GAP Certification

• Carry our bi annual internal audits
• Report to management of implementation of the Global GAP standards
• Follow up on corrective actions and communicate auditor
• Monitor farm record keeping and carry out required risk assessments and draft policies and procedueres
• Prepare and lead annual Global GAP audit in cooperation with the farm manager.

Organic Certification

• Carry our bi annual internal audits
• Report to management of implementation of the organic standards
• Follow up on corrective actions and communicate with certification body
• Monitor farm record keeping 
• Prepare and lead annual Global GAP audit in cooperation with organic farm supervisor

Required Skills or Experience

• Applicant must have more than 2yrs experience Global Gap and Fairtrade Certification.
• HND or First degree in Agriculture or similar 
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
