Job Description

Core Duties

• The news team will be responsible for constantly updating the group’s managers about ongoing stories in Ghana and West Africa news.
• Search for news from all sources including but not limited to Newspapers, TV, Radio and Internet and edit a report for all of the group’s managers.
• Scan all forms of social media and texting applications to fully understand and reflect to management the public opinion about the different topics discussed in the news.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in related field
• Knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Suite
• Competency with Microsoft Windows
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A keen interest in news, current affairs, business and people
• Good organization skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills
