Job Description

Reports to: General Counsel 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the effective delivery of the Company's legal and regulatory advice, support and services across all activities of the Company. 
• Responsible for identifying areas of risk for the Company in relation to a broad range of matters and provide solutions to manage risk. 
• Monitor and report on the extent of compliance with regulatory, statutory and contractual obligations. 
• Participate in contract negotiations. 
• Draft and review contracts. 
• Represent the Company and its employees on both civil and criminal matters to ensure the protection of the corporate interest at all times: 
• Prepare monthly/quarterly and annual legal report(s). 
• Advise Senior Management on new and regulatory developments and issues which may impact the business

Required Skills or Experience

• LLM and LLB from an accredited tertiary institution and must be called to the Ghana Bar. 
• Minimum of 7 years post call experience. 

Required Personal Attributes: 

• Hands-on, proactive, independent-minded individual with good people management skills. 
• Strong computer usage skills a requisite. 
• Result orientated with the ability to analyse situations and make timely decisions. 

Other: 

• Solid Commercial Law background especially in the negotiation and documentation of commercial contracts. 
• Strong planning and organization skills; and ability to resolve sensitive legal issues.
