Job Description

• Capital/Plant reporting analysis
• Ensuring data validity within the group's Fixed Asset Registers 
• Preparation of the weekly/monthly and ad-hoc asset reports 
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Registers (FAR), including monthly updates - Additions, Disposals and Transfers, running month-end asset reports and reconciling FAR with General Ledger. 
• Ensuring asset finance transfers across the Group is in line with the asset sale. 
• Ensuring insurance claims and the insurance registers are completed in a timely manner. 
• Ensuring the asset purchase/disposal and capex function is completed per AMS policy. 
• Complete the capital budget, including current and growth operations up to three year cycles. 

Required Skills or Experience

• Must have advanced Accounting Tertiary qualifications with a Post Bachelor qualification - ACCA/CA/CPA. 
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience. 
• Must have advanced Microsoft Office knowledge. 
• Must have knowledge in Financial software - PRONOT/PUlSE 
• Must have knowledge of principle and practices of accounting and a commercial and audit environment 
• Must have knowledge of statutory Accounting and Tax compliance procedures.
• Experience in Fixed Asset Management an advantage. 
• Proficiency in French will be an advantage. 
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and e-mail. 
• Must be self-motivated. 
• Willing to learn. 
• An understanding of Mining Regulations will be an advantage. 
• Must be prepared to travel widely across West Africa. 
• Ability to plan and co-ordinate activities. 
• Must possess a Ghanaian driver's license.
