Job Description

The  Innovations Manager will report to the Country Director with a dotted lines to  Director of Health Insurance (demand side roles)   and Director mHealth Research Lab  (on supply side roles) both based in Amsterdam. The main tasks of the Manager will be:

• Developing digital till – set up required partnership to enable transactions
• Partnering  with NHIA on the development and roll out of  claims management app to facilitate receivable financing and cash advance
• Developing tool to further digitize payments, collect clinical data
• Developing digital re-enrollment tool
• Developing mobile health wallet
• Developing digitally-supported supply-chain management system with financing mechanisms for providers
• Poverty Mapping using telco data
• Supervise  the  management  and  expansion  of  the  mHealth  Lab  for  new  concept/product design, development and testing
• Ensure that Health Plans & mHealth takes full advantage of the opportunities that arise from the network of healthcare providers in Ghana being serviced by the company
• Collaborate closely with our implementing partners and other in-country stakeholders
• Represent the company on digital innovations and mHealth topics in Ghana
• Prepare management reports both for internal use and for external third party financers
• Support business development and funding raising efforts of the Ghana office

Required Skills or Experience

• Suitable candidates will require a relevant Master’s degree
• At least five  years of work experience in management, working in mobile network environment, digital payments, healthcare financing or mHealth in Ghana or other sub-Saharan countries
• Strong product development and managerial skills, result-driven and able to lead and motivate a diverse group of ambitious colleagues and partners in an agile, fast-paced environment
• Experience of working in an international environment
• Strong understanding of healthcare financing, mobile insurance and mobile phone markets in developing countries
• Strong  analytical  and  writing  skills:  data  analysis  and  interpretation,  managing  budgets  and clear and accurate reporting
• Excellent communication skills: an ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders and with people with different cultural backgrounds
