Job Description

Length of contract:  Two (2) years contract

The Head of Social Franchise and AHME reports to the Director, Regional Operations

  • Work effectively with MSI International Operations, the Health System's Department and the AHME team to establish a global model for success in insurance integration and social franchising.
  • Build a highly motivated and experienced technical and operations team to support the BlueStar business plan.
  • Work with the Director of Medical Development to ensure that Social Franchise adhere to clinical protocols.
  • Ensure that clinical governance systems are developed to keep pace with the scope and scale of franchise operations
  • Work with the AHME Project Coordinator to ensure strong integration of the AHME project within MSIG's structure and operations.
  • Work with the AHME project in Ghana to 'ensure MSIG's deliverables are achieved
  • Ensure proper documentation of client information across our Blue Star network.
  • Build productive working relationships with key stakeholders in Ghana
  • Any other duties which will ensure the smooth and effective running of MSI Ghana

Required Skills or Experience

  • Degree in' Business Management, Administration, Project Management, Development Studies, nursing or any related field/area
  • Second degree in Public Health and / or Marketing
  • At least seven (7) years' experience working on the operations side of healthcare service delivery of which at least five (5) years' experience working at management level with extensive line management and budget experience
  • Experience in working in a Health Care/related industry will be a great advantage
  • Experience working in health-related Insurance Industry
  • Excellent strategic planning and ability to breakdown complex data into clear, cohesive business plans that are client-focused.
  • Ability to lead evolution of domestic financing and national health insurance models
  • Passionate and willing to work extensive hours to ensure project deliverables are achieved within the required time frame     .
  • Experience working in developing countries or resource-limited settings.
  • Ability to work in and adjust to different cultural contexts and communicate effectively
  • Experience in a commercial business or  insurance financed healthcare environment
  • Results-oriented with ability to stay focused
  • Pro-choice with a genuine commitment to the values and ethos of Marie Stopes International
