Role Overview

Is data your best friend? Then you might just be our next team member in Accra. As a Market Intelligence Officer, you are responsible for the market intelligence activities of Landmapp for several regions of Ghana.

We are based in Accra, but you will also regularly be sent out to collect data from the field in various places in the country. We’ll make sure you are working closely with our Data Lead and field team, essentially your role is to make sure that our team can depend on dependable intelligence to make sound management decisions, helping the entire company to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Perform market research and gather market intelligence
• Map topology items from satellite data
• Collect data on Traditional areas and CLSses
• Perform field trials for new products that are under development
• Perform impact surveys and client follow-ups
• Interview stakeholders and customers
• Process data and extract learnings and reports

Required Skills or Experience

• We want you to have an affinity for field research, qualitative and quantitative data and not shy away from a spreadsheet with thousands of rows. We need you to be very savvy with various devices such us Android tablets, laptops and all kinds of software.
• You need to be a good interviewer, listener and writer; meticulous and curious; the type of person that is happy to triple-check the data, noticing anomalies, checking that everything is ok, striving for perfection.
• We need you to be diligent and timely, present with the task at hand as well as a team player.
• But most of all, we expect you to be inquisitive, probing for the reasons behind the reasons that reside behind the usual responses that people give. You need to dig to gain valuable information from our customers, stakeholders, government officials and chiefs.
