Job Description

Under the President, the Dean shall be responsible for:

• Maintaining and promoting efficiency and good order.
• Providing strategic direction in running the school in accordance with the policies and procedures; prescribed by the University Statutes and as may be determined by the University Council and the Academic Board.

• The Appointment is full time

Required Skills or Experience

The Applicant Must:

• Have academic/or professional qualifications in any discipline of
• Pharmacy; A doctoral degree will be an advantage
• Be a senior Lecturer or its equivalent in a Research Institute and must have been in the position for not less than two (2) years
• Be capable of handling and coordinating multiple roles and maintain high level of professional and ethical standards
• Be visionary, business-oriented and capable of maintaining collaboration with internal/external stakeholders
• Have extensive links with international bodies, advocacy groups scholars and relevant scholarly associations and agencies.
• Appointment is for two (2) years in the first instance and may be subject to renewals as determined by Council
