Job Description

Reporting to the Director,  this role is Responsible for managing Pharmaceutical supply of the facility, and support clinicians and nurses in execution of their duty on a full time basis.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage stocks of medicines and other pharmaceutical products ensuring continual availability of supplies 
  • Dispense medications with prescription and document accordingly in records system 
  • Work closely with prescribers and nurses to manage the clinical practice. This includes ensuring adequate quantities of consumables; clients are comfortable; dispense treatment for both in-patients and out-patients under the care of the Practice
  • Use the software to update medicine stocks and track consumption
  • Ensure medications do not expire in the hospital 
  • Report on consumption and forecast clinic needs to ensure adequate stocks of medicines at all times 
  • Procurement of medications for hospital use in consultation with medical director
  • Participate in school health and other health activities when being executed by COY
  • Other duties related to Practice operations .

Required Skills or Experience

  • BSc. Pharmacy
  • Minimum of 3 Years relevant work experience 
  • Competent in medicines forecasting and supply chain management
  • Understand prescriptions and translate to patients 
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good command of the English language
  • Good records management skills
  • Basic administrative skills
  • Competent in Microsoft office applications
