Job Objectives
To be responsible for the formulation and driving the implementation of strategic marketing initiatives and plans aimed at enhancing the Company’s brand, identifying new market opportunities, increase brand profitability and sustainably growing the business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop an effective advertising, promotions and communication (internal and external) strategy, plans and campaigns delivering to consumers, partners and business requirements of the company with stakeholder participation
- Lead and execute annual brand operating plan, brand target setting, communications, innovation and other initiatives to enhance brand visibility at all levels
- Build a marketing strategy that delivers business units revenue generation and bottom line growth
- Liaise with the relevant parties to ensure that all promotional and advertising campaigns and communications are strategically aligned with the company’s brand and the appropriate segment/medium and products are selected
- Engage, inspire and galvanize members of staff around the company’s brand vision and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their respective functional areas.
- Conduct marketing intelligence surveys, respond to relevant market research, monitor and evaluate effectiveness of marketing activities and campaigns and explore new market opportunities and insights to best position the brand, product and service to a variety of markets and through a diversity of channels
- Ensure good brand governance in respect of all outputs and align brand and corporate identity within the business units
- Provide creative guidance and alignment across all campaigns (including social media) and evaluate the company’s advertising programs, promotions and materials to ensure standardization and brand profitability.
- Liaise with selected Creative Agents and printing houses and ensure that the company’s advertising and promotional materials are in line with agreed designs, patterns and standards and manage key supplier relationships.
- Develop and implement Public Relations programs including the preparation of budgets and respond to enquiries from the publics and other organisations with stakeholders inputs
- Build strong partnerships and act as the key liaison with the media and organise publicity campaigns that support the execution of Hollard’s strategy
- Design and prepare press summaries and in-house publications to ensure the publics are aware of key business activities
- Drive consumer understanding and insights at the community level and ensure consumers have stronger and more impactful and relevant brand experiences.
- Administer the company’s web-site and other electronic platforms to ensure that the overall positioning, content and message reflect the company’s brand concepts and delivers value.
- Showcase the brand at corporate events and other company sponsored programs.
- Educate business units on key marketing targets and support them to formulate plans that will promote sales activities
Required Skills or Experience
- University Degree in Marketing or a related field
- Professional qualification in Marketing or related area will be an advantage
- 8 years general marketing experience with 4 experience in strategic marketing
- Demonstrated experience in Marketing and Communication Management
- Sound understanding of branding and brand dynamics
- Knowledge of digital marketing and analytical thinking
- General insurance knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
- Conceptual and creative thinking skills
- Brand and sponsorship management
- PR and media management skills
