Job Description

A reputable and rapidly growing organization is seeking the services of a smart, confident, performance oriented and experienced professional to occupy the positions of Project Coordinators.


RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

  1. Project Planning
    • Liaise with Chief Operating Officer and Executive Committee to define the scope of projects 
    • Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback
    • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete projects
    • Advice Chief Operating Officer and Executive Committee on the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete projects
    • Review projects schedule with Chief Operating Officer and Head of Credit  and all other members who will be affected by project activities and revise the schedule as required 
    • Determine in collaboration with Chief Operating Officer and Head of Credit, the objectives and measures upon which projects will be evaluated at its completion
  2. Implementation
    • Execute projects according to projects plan 
    • Track progress and review project tasks to make certain deadlines are met appropriately
    • Develop forms and records to document project activities and set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
    • Monitor the progress of projects and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of projects
    • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of projects
    • Proactively communicate project status, issues & risks to management
    • Schedule regular meetings with internal departments involved in projects to ensure that all activities are executed on time and aligned with project objectives.
  3. Evaluation
    • Ensure that projects deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality
    • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet  productivity, quality and customer goals
    • Evaluate the outcomes of projects as established during the planning phase

Required Skills or Experience

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have considerable experience in Project Management, electronic payments systems as well as knowledgeable in credit and financial services. 
  • Experience in working with cards/ ATMS and mobile banking solutions is desirable.

QUALIFICATION/EDUCATION

  • Minimum of first degree in Marketing, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts and relevant professional qualification in e.g. operational knowledge in financial services.
  • An MBA will be an advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE          

  • Minimum five years relevant experience of which three should have been in Credit, Sales, and Operations.
  • Good understanding of the micro finance establishment will be an advantage

SKILLS                            
Project management skills, Credit and lending expertise, Analytical Skills, Communication Skills, Good Interpersonal Skills, Mathematical Skills,  Excellent Reporting writing skills, Practical knowledge in excel.
