The National Banking College is a unique resource centre established in 1994 for training senior banking personnel and financial services practitioners in the country and within the West African sub-region. The College is an autonomous body limited by guarantee under the auspices of the Bank of Ghana and the Banks in Ghana. 

The College executes its mandate of training, research and consultancy, promoting and conducting research in matters pertaining to improvements in banking operations and processes.It provides consultancy services to banks and other institutions or individuals on matters bearing on productivity in banking services.

Job Description

NBC is also inviting all banking practitioners with facilitation experience to join as Adjunct Faculty Team members in the areas of:​

  • Banking Operations (Basic and Branch Banking, Trade, Consumer Credit, Operational Risk, E-Banking, Compliance, Auditing, Payment Systems etc.) 
  • Credit Risk Management (Financial and Credit Analysis, Credit Appraisal, SMEs, Agric, Syndications, Recoveries, Green Finance etc.) 
  • Governance and leadership (Governance, Strategy, People Management & Leadership Development (Executive & Middle Management level, Strategic HR. Management etc.) 
  • Information, Communication & Technology (ITIL, Cyber Security, BCP, Project Management, Digital Banking, MS Suites etc.) 
  • Risk and Regulation (Enterprise Risks, Banking Regulations, Operational Risks, Bank Product Risks, e.g. Oil & Gas, Real Estates etc.) 
  • Sales, Services & Marketing (Wholesale & Retail Sales, Relationship Management, Bank Marketing etc.) 
  • Treasury Risk Management (Treasury and Financial Market Products, Liquidity and ALM, Sales, Treasury Operations and Auditing) 
  • Banking & Other Financial Sector Fraud.
Adjunct Faculty Members shall: 
  • Assist the relevant faculty of the college to develop and design and train on programs of the College
  • Support with facilitation and administration of quality needs-based training and research in their respective fields of study
  • Provide research and consultancy within the business development wing of the college. 
  • Liaise with other faculty members for effective implementation of consultancy services. 
  • Liaise with the relevant Faculty to establish and maintain systems and procedures for the effective implementation of training programmes and sessions.

Terms of Appointment

  • Adjunct facilitator appointment shall be on contract basis and subject to renewal.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification - All Categories
  • Degree with not less than 15 years in the area of expertise. 
  • Postgraduate degree with banking experience of not less than 10 years. 
  • Relevant professional qualification in area of expertise. 
  • PhD/DBA in any relevant discipline preferably, banking and finance/economics is an added advantage.
