Software Engineer

Type: Full time

Base: Accra

NubiaEMR is a new and in-demand Electronic Medical Records Software (WebApp) suitable for medical practitioners. Users can issue bills, document diagnosis, plan treatments and manage their establishments with ease.

The Software Engineer will ensure Client change requests are swiftly implemented and the application is constantly improved. Working with a team of at least 5 other Engineers, he/she will be responsible for the current version of NubiaEMR and assist with the development of any future versions of the Software.

Responsibilities

• Implement ongoing change request from Clients.
• Build and Develop new features for NubiaEMR.
• Maintain the current codebase and data stores.
• Optimize performance of code, databases, Cloud services and processes.

Required Skills or Experience

• Post-Secondary education in an IT related field (preferred) or similar.
• Fluency in the English language, good communication skills and teamwork.
• Experience developing web applications using modern JavaScript. Frameworks (Angular, Node.Js), HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap etc.
• Experience with Bitbucket/Jira, Git/Azure DevOps or related tools.
• PHP/Laravel backend development experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL server, MySQL or other RDBMS.
