Job Description

We are a non-bank financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana to provide financial services. As part of our expansion program and business strategy, we require the services of a smart, confident and performance oriented professional to be employed as IT MANAGER.

The candidate will be mainly responsible for ensuring the development and uninterrupted functionality of an adequate information technology systems for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Advices and recommends to management relevant, efficient, and effective IT solutions to meet the company’s requirements;
  2. Assists with the development of business processes to ensure better service delivery to customers and improve the quality and overall performance of the department;
  3. Develops and implements standards, procedures, and processes for the IT department;
  4. Plans and manages support of new technologies including banking software, IT equipment, and infrastructure, network performance, and reliability;
  5. To develop software and other applications to facilitate and automate business processes within the various departments and branches;
  6. To implement the ICT strategy of the company;
  7. To provide project management services for all ICT projects handled by the company;
  8. To ensure that the Bank’s ICT policy is executed and accomplished;
  9. To ensure adequate training of all staff on IT.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  1. University degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or related field;
  2. Must have significant experience in managing MIS/ IT component of a bank or a microfinance operation in a regulated setting;
  3. Must have knowledge of intermediate accounting and basic statistics;
  4. Minimum of 3 years working experience;
  5. Experience in software installation an advantage;
  6. Knowledge in mobile technologies.

 

SPECIAL / PERSONAL ABILITIES

  1. Good team-worker with good communication skills and can interact with all levels of the organization;
  2. Extensive expertise in network administration and IT support;
  3. project planning and management skills, including ability to identify and assess risks;
  4. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity applications, database applications and other related applications;
  5. Eager to learn and strongly performance oriented, high initiative and can work with least supervision;
  6. Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach;
  7. Good analytical and problem solving skills.
