Job Description

Plantations Socfinaf Ghana (PSG) Limited wishes to inform all qualified and interested candidates about a vacant position in the Finance Department.  Kindly find details of the vacancy below.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
 
  •   Responsible and accountable for any losses that the Company may sustain as a result of negligence and/or bad job performance.
  •   Manage stores staff (scheduling, training, disciplining, appraising, etc.).
  •   Advise Management in all areas of stores management.
  •   Ensure that goods delivered meet the required specifications.
  •   Ensure timely and accurate processing of stores documents (issues & receipts) and review system postings for accuracy.
  •   Ensure that stores records are accurate and up-to date (perform periodic stock takes).
  •   Take part in periodic stock takes and annual stock takes and assist in the reconciliation of differences.
  •   Ensure user departments are informed of deliveries.
  •   Ensure appropriate storage & identification of goods.
  •   Ensure that the Company’s stores policies & procedures are strictly adhered to.
  •   Perform any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager or the Managing Director as and when the situation demands.

Required Skills or Experience

Educational Qualification

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post qualification working experience in inventory management and warehousing in a similar position.
  • Accounting knowledge (understand impact of stores operations on the accounting system).
  • Knowledge of and experience with computerized inventory control system is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Sage X3 is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse numbers.
  • Applicants should have completed their mandatory National Service Work.
