Job Description

A reputable Tier-2 Microfinance Company seeks qualified personnel for immediate employment.

  • Position: Operations Manager
  • Job Location: Accra

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all banking operations with respect to our Branch Operations
  • Ensure Branches achieve all deposit and loans targets.
  • Assist Branches in credit administration delivery.
  • Assist Branches and Recovery Task Force in the recovery of overdue loans.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for easy monitoring.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of budgets, budgetary control reports end corporation plan.
  • Coach, mentor and supervise core business persons and ensure that they are adequately trained and operate at a high standard of timeliness and technical competency
  • Oversee Branch functioning with respect to operations and business development.
  • Provide reports on operations as requested by the CEO and the board of directors
  • Responsible for effectiveness and efficiency of the branches, team development, team morale and implementation of microfinance code of conduct at the various levels in operations
  • The Candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the Microfinance operations and any other assigned day-to-day duties from time to time.

Remuneration: Salary

Required Skills or Experience

  • Minimum First Degree in Banking/Accounting/Finance and/or Part 2 of ICA/ACCA
  • Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar position in a Tier-2 Microfinance Institution
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and a team player
  • Good financial analysis skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Quality oriented with eye for details
  • Ability to multitask and work within deadlines
  • Highly motivated professional with the highest level of integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
