Job Description

1. Manage cash on daily basis to ensure that the overall liquidity position of the company is kept within acceptable levels.
2. Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecast and identify appropriate sources of funding to meet liquidity needs of the business.
3. Manage the company’s banking relationships to ensure that the company conducts its banking activities in a mutually beneficial manner.
4. Ensure that the company comply with all regulatory and statutory reserve requirements and any breach is reported to management for resolution.
5. Management of debt facilities and interest rate risk by developing risk mitigation strategies.
6. Forecasting of medium and long- term funding and appropriate strategies to minimize medium term mismatch.
7. Ensure the running of the Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO) Secretariate of the company.
8. Act as the Secretary to the ALCO and ensure that all actions emanating from the ALCO meetings are followed through and resolved.
9. Assist the CFO in preparation of Management and Board Reports on Monthly basis.
10. Assist with the automation of finance processes and reports.

Required Skills or Experience

1. Sound knowledge and understanding of banking products, services, and practices.
2. Strong data analysis and advance skills in Microsoft applications.
3. Proactive, someone who gets things done and has strong communication skills.
4. Curious and passionate about financial inclusion for the mass market using technology.
5. Critical thinker, strategic and structured approach to problem solving.
6. Good management skills, well organised, articulate and a team player.
7. Quick at thinking on your feet and problem solving, treating everything as urgent.

Education and Professional Training

1. First Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, BCom etc.
2. Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or professional qualification such ACCA, ICAG, CIMA, CFA, CIB etc. will be an added advantage.
3. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in financial services in Ghana with at least 2 years in a similar position.
