An Organization (Client) seeks the services of competent and experienced individuals for the following position: Architect

• Job Location:Kwahu-Eastern Region
• Employment Type: Fixed Term (one (1) year contract subject to renewal)
• Report to:  Project Director

Architect Job Purpose

Design new buildings, alterations or extensions. Work with the client to ensure the architectural designs are functional and within budgetary restraints.

Architect Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss project objectives, needs and budget.
• Prepare and present design proposals including detailed drawings of buildings, renovations, or restorations.
• Meet with construction professionals and clients to discuss feasibility of designs
• Create detailed drawings and specifications for architectural projects
• Specify the materials needed for construction of projects
• Work with contractors, surveyors, and other professional building engineers to create a construction schedule and bring the designs to fruition.
• Coordinate work between various contractors
• Supervise construction of buildings to ensure projects meet deadlines, stay on budget, and adhere to the original vision of the design
• Visit proposed locations and building sites
• Resolve issues that come up during construction
• Participate in project management throughout the construction

Required Skills or Experience

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the industry
• Strong attention to detail and drawing skills.
• Excellent team player and organizational skills.
