Job Description

In this dual role, you will be reporting to the Executive Director, and you will be working hand in hand with our Head Office in Switzerland and your responsibilities are two-fold:

  • To work in accordance with our Fundraising strategy: organize events, write proposals and reports, manage donors.
  • Creation of marketing collaterals such as flyers, layout, promotional videos, gifts as well as designing handicrafts.
  • To oversee professional relationships with our stakeholders and manage the database of donors.
  • Be responsible for building and maintaining a bright, unique image of our organization.
  • Developing and implementing PR strategies as well as managing enquiries from media, individuals, and other organizations.

Required Skills or Experience

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience in the back office of a foundation with an international setting.
  • Must have good analytical skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically.
  • Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
  • Must be deadline-oriented and inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
  • Must have a good understanding of social media trends.
  • Must be a quick and enthusiastic learner with excellent organizational skills,
  • Must be friendly and approachable.
  • Must have high accuracy and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to engage and liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, both internally and externally and build trusted relationships.
  • Ability to create impactful, touching stories from facts.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of general IT systems and applications including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), database and webpage systems.
  • Must have excellent knowledge in branding and marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of budgets will be a plus.
  • Must be proficient in English Language both verbal and written and at least a good knowledge of German language.
