A Reputable Facility Management Company seeks the services of a Facility Operations Officer to oversee the daily activities and maintenance of their facilities
Job Purpose/ Summary of Role
Oversee the security, maintenance and services of projects facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its employees.

Core Responsibilities/ Duties
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- maintaining the facility and overseeing the daily administrative operations
- overseeing the cleaning, landscaping and Horticulture teams
- instructing team members on the best practices to maintain the property
- Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
- creating and maintaining budgets for maintenance, repairs and contracts
- overseeing the closure of projects within the approved budget
- supporting the company's strategic objectives by advising management on current and best facility maintenance ensuring coherent availability and utilization of resources in areas like transport, canteen and waste disposal
- hiring external professionals for repairs for the building, equipment or machinery
- developing and maintaining a vendor base for a cost-efficient procurement of inventory
- overseeing communication and security frameworks within the facility
- ensuring the property meets local and industry-specific safety guidelines
- performing regular inspections to ensure the building is functioning correctly
- managing contracts for various construction and maintenance projects
- negotiating annual maintenance contracts and renewing insurances for maintenance
- maintaining records the facility, including maintenance bills and payment information
- Perform any other duty as assigned by CEO
Required Skills or Experience
- Applicant must be able to drive with a valid driver's license
Education:
- Degree in Construction, Project Management or related areas.
- Must be a member of relevant
professional association.
- Degree in MBA would be an advantage
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years and more post - qualification working experience.
- Must have workingexperience in infrastructural development and projects supervision

- Ability to plan and perform both long- and short-term facilities assessments
- Project Management—Oversight and management of all projects and related contract
- Quality—Best practices, process improvements, audits and measurement
- Ability to develop and implement customer relations plans to improve service levels and response times
- Finance & Business—Strategic plans, budgets, financial analyses, procurement
- Knowledge in health and Safety

- Ability to multitask and priories workload
- Ability to utilize computerized maintenance management systems
