Job Description

A Fintech organization has a vacancy for highly motivated individuals with high integrity and a passion to succeed for hiring as Financial Coordinator

Reports To: Chief Finance Officer 
Department: Finance

Purpose of the Job
The job holder is responsible for business performance analysis, financial accounting and reporting, bank and general ledger reconciliations and providing support for all finance activities for business units and cost centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts
  • Assist with periodic cashflow management and forecasts
  • Assist with financial and business performance analysis and recommendation
  • Provide support for periodic financial budget and forecast activities
  • Responsible for the preparation and computation of partner commissions
  • Assist to implement an effective cost management practice to enhance profitability
  • Ensure that proper book of accounts is maintained and updating of financial schedules
  • Ensure the maintenance of adequate fixed asset policy/register and effective management of company’s assets and liabilities
  • Responsible for periodic reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledgers
  • Responsible for preparation and filing of tax returns
  • Responsible for preparation of regulatory reports and returns
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes

Required Skills or Experience

  • First Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting or ACCA/ICA I or II
  • At least 2 years relevant work experience. Experience in a bank or financial institution is preferred
  • Knowledge of IAS/IFRS and Ghana Tax Laws

  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter able to work effectively and make decisions without close supervision
  • Able to work under pressure in a calm, professional, efficient and courteous manner
  • Must be comfortable with Microsoft Word & Excel and have the ability to record, manage and analyse data in Excel
  • Must be willing to work irregular hours
  • Good oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
