Job Description

A reputable company in the development and management of Industrial Parks(IP)/Special Economic Zones (SEZ)

  • Department: Operations
  • Grade Level of Job/Position: Senior Manager
  • Reports To: Managing Director
  • Direct Reports: Head of Infrastructure, Land Acquisitions Manager, Head of SPV’s, Parks Management Manager

Job Purpose

  • GM Operations will be responsible for the management of design, construction, logistics procurement and project budgets/financing to ensure the efficiency of time, quality, and cost of assigned projects.
  • Supervise of all Park Management activities such as lease management, facilities management, rent /fees collection, repairs and maintenance in the most cost-efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project management and construction schedules for construction, restoration, and refurbishment projects.
  • Supervise Infrastructure Team to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.
  • Work with senior management and other stakeholders to ensure all projects are completed before schedule, of excellent quality and within the budget.
  • Supervise the budgeting and financial planning of all projects with the support of the Finance Team.
  • Create and implement systems and processes to guarantee cost and timeline efficiencies & reporting practices etc.
  • Supervise Land Acquisitions Team to monitor progress of acquisitions and all land administration issues.
  • Create periodic reports for various projects and prepare weekly projects snapshots and action plan.
  • Lead regular project review meetings with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Supervise agreed SLA agreements for service delivery.
  • Lead Operational coordination for all Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV’s).
  • Any other task assigned by MD

Required Skills or Experience

  • MSc. or MBA in Building Technology, Land economy, Architecture, Planning, Civil/Structural Engineering or Land Surveying with high business acumen.
  • Membership of the relevant professional body.
  • A certificate in Project Planning and Management from a recognised institution is desirable.
  • Must have a minimum of  fifteen (15) years relevant working experience, six (6) years of which should have been in senior management.
  • Proven experience in a General Manager or similar executive role
