Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Front Desk Sales Specialist to join our team. As a Front Desk Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales inquiries, and promoting our laboratory products to clients. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a positive customer experience and driving sales growth.   • Greet and welcome customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide information and guidance on laboratory equipment products, features, and benefits.
  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs, recommend suitable products, and close sales.
  • Manage inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our laboratory equipment product line to effectively address customer inquiries and provide accurate information.
  • Prepare and present product demonstrations to customers, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Generate sales leads and follow up on potential opportunities to expand customer base.
  • Process sales orders, invoices, and payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with relevant information.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions to effectively position our laboratory equipment in the market.
  • Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, reordering products, and coordinating with the logistics team.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and technical support, to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and trade shows as required.

Required Skills or Experience

  • HND Laboratory Science is preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales or customer service roles, preferably in the laboratory equipment or scientific industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and scientific principles is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales order processing systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanour and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends, depending on business needs.
