The vision of SEND Ghana is “A Ghana where people’s rights and well-being are guaranteed” with a mission “to promote good governance and equality of men and women in Ghana”.  It is headquartered in Accra, with network offices in Tamale and Salaga.

Job Description

• REPORTING TO: Programme Manager  
• ASSOCIATES: Project Officers And Field Officers  

OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
To contribute towards SEND’s integrated Grassroots Economic Literacy and advocacy programme in targeted regions and communities of the North.

• Prepare work plans for projects activity implementation
• Work with the financial team to develop budgets in line work plan.
• Coordinate Public Policy Research work in a Northern Ghana
• Capacity building of stakeholders 
• Contribute to research publication and newsletters  
• Training of community partners on Advocacy and communication
• Monitor and report on the impact of SEND’s Advocacy Activities
• Provide technical backstopping support to  field officersand FNGOs/DCMCs
• To monitor and support Focal NGOs and District Citizens Monitoring Committees (DCMC) to implement GELAP and other programmes that may be developed.
• To report on programme activities, form the district and regional level. 
• To undertake training of FNGO and DCMCs
• To support Lobbying activities of SEND’s GELAP in the districts
• To undertake networking at the district level
• Facilitate policy dialogues and engagements at the regional and district level.
• Prepare project progress reports.
• To write articles for publication in SEND’s Newsletter (Citizen’s Watch)
• Support
• Any other assignments as may be deemed necessary. 

Required Skills or Experience

• Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Social studies, Development studies, Governance, Public policy, or any other social sciences.   
• Minimum of three years’ work experience, with a focus on policy research, budget analysis and project coordination, preferably in the field of governance.
• Experience in public policy advocacy 
• Sound knowledge of tools, research methods and policy issues in social accountability, budget research, and good governance promotion.
• Strong research and writing skills
• Must be a self-starter who requires minimum supervision to deliver task
• Excellent networking, communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in training/capacity-building and technical backstopping
• Track record in fundraising an advantage
• Working knowledge of MS Office, online communications and related applications, including Excel.
• Experience in leading a team
• Must be willing to live and work in remote areas
