Job Summary

• Promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils and staff; 
• Ensure improvement in teaching, learning, and curriculum development;
• Ensure the achievement of excellent academic standards;
• Provide direction to promote infrastructural development and maintenance;
• Promote school discipline;
• Supervise and appraise teaching and non-teaching staff in the school.
• Help to implement the school’s policies and goals set by the Directors

Required Skills or Experience

Candidates seeking appointment to this position must: 

• Must be a professional teacher with a degree in Education; M.Ed. or M.Phil. in any field of Education is an advantage.
• Have headed a Primary and a JHS for a minimum of 5 years with a proven track record of achieving excellent BECE results in the schools they headed
• Have a minimum of five to ten (5-10) years of relevant experience in teaching, educational administration, and/or Guidance and Counseling;
• Must be able to demonstrate adequate working knowledge of the Junior High School System.
• Must be computer literate, adept in Microsoft suite (particularly Word and EXCEL)
• Working knowledge of British or American educational curriculums will be an advantage.
