Job Description

Purpose
Responsible for network and IT Security systems administration and management. He/she will be responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting MFI’s computer network systems, ensuring the efficient and cyber-secured design installation, and operation of IT infrastructure. Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN),
wide area network (WAN), Internet system, and intranet systems or a segment of a network system. Ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Work with IT team members to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware. He/she will be
responsible for efficient and effective organization, coordination, control, and supervision of the MFI Network.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
  • Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. Provides servers and proxy server maintenance, desktops maintenance, Cisco Routers, and Switches Maintenance.
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; and working with the IT team to resolve and escalate problems to vendors.
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; and providing references and support.
  • Perform periodic vulnerability and security assessments to identify inherent risks with IT infrastructure and mitigate same.
  • Adheres to audit and compliance expectations and continually seeks to improve system controls and cybersecurity.
  • Ensures that all implementation initiatives follow established change management policies/ITIL-compliant processes.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with a technical major such as computer science, or a Technical related field
  • 3+ years of experience in network and cybersecurity and experience with Cisco routers and switches, from entry-level to enterprise-level;
  • Experience with Cisco and other firewall equipment and multi-layer firewall implementations
  • Experience supporting a mixed OS environment, integrating services from both Windows and Linux servers (e.g., Active Directory, SMTP servers, etc.)
  • Experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, network design, implementation, and performance tuning
  • ITIL, MCP/ MCSE, CCNP, Cybersecurity certification
  • Experience with SAN and NAS equipment, including ISCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS servers is a plus.
  • Ability to work aggressively to meet critical timelines
  • Excellent customer focus and inter-personal relations skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
