Job Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, strong technical skills, and experience in both interior design and architecture. They will collaborate with clients, architects, and other professionals to create innovative and functional interior spaces that meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints for interior spaces, including residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
• Develop conceptual design ideas, mood boards, and design presentations to communicate design concepts and proposals to clients effectively.
• Prepare detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other design tools to visualize and communicate design solutions.
• Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures that align with the design concept, client preferences, and project requirements, and prepare specifications and procurement documents.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure that design concepts are implemented accurately and efficiently during the construction phase.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections to assess existing conditions, verify measurements, and monitor construction progress, ensuring that design specifications and quality standards are met.
• Provide guidance and support to junior designers, interns, and other team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Stay informed about current trends, developments, and best practices in interior design, architecture, and related fields, and integrate innovative design concepts and technologies into projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors throughout the design and construction process, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Uphold ethical standards, professional integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions and adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certification or licensure in Interior Design or Architecture is desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Interior Designer, Architect, or a combination of both, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar programs, and graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong design sensibility and creativity, with the ability to develop innovative design concepts and solutions that meet client needs and project objectives.
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, and materials, with the ability to produce accurate drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, colleagues, consultants, and contractors in a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work on a variety of project types and scales, from conceptual design through construction administration.
