Job Description

The Mechanical Service Engineer will have responsibility for matters relating to field/roadside equipment, devices, and software.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep complex systems working at all times.
• Provide 2^nd and 3^rd line support on our camera and detection systems to guarantee a high system uptime.
• Handling support tickets.
• Provide technical training to our client.
• Reproduce technical issues and liaise with technical colleagues to resolve those issues.
• Identify and troubleshoot root causes of any breakdowns.
• Provide rapid response to technical challenges and queries.
• Monitor and test equipment to assess performance.
• Liaise with local authorities and installation companies for the installation and maintenance of roadside equipment.
• Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate unforeseen events.

Required Skills or Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of electric wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to dismantle equipment/devices to gain access to and fix devices, problems, etc.
• Experience as a field (roadside) service technician is a strong plus.
• Hands on attitude.
• Experience in interacting with external parties, both technical and non-technical.
• Willing and able to navigate any type of problem.
• Trustworthy, reliable, curious and not afraid to make decisions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
