Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural/Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team for a large-scale construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure. This role requires a thorough understanding of engineering principles, construction processes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design structural components of buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and plans using CAD software.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections to gather data for design purposes.
• Analyze soil reports, topographical data, and other geotechnical information to inform structural design.
• Evaluate the environmental impact and feasibility of proposed construction sites.
• Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Review and approve material specifications, shop drawings, and construction submittals.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines.
• Assist in developing project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues.
• Prepare and present project reports and updates to management and clients.
• Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including design modifications, progress reports, and inspection records.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments as required.
• Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure high standards in design and construction.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct post-construction evaluations and recommend improvements for future projects.

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural or civil engineering, with a focus on construction projects.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering complex construction projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP) or other relevant certifications is a plus.
• Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS).
• Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IBC, ASCE).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead project teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment:

• Combination of office and fieldwork.
• Must be able to work on-site at construction locations, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and physical hazards.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, and move around construction sites for extended periods.
• Must have good vision and hearing for conducting site inspections and assessments.
