Job Description

A Reputable Multinational Company

JOB PURPOSE
The successful applicant shall be responsible for performing periodic maintenance Test and resolving telecommunication and data Last mile equipment via Copper, Radio or Fiber to customers.

  • The role reports to the Enterprise Field Operations Manager.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Ensures all work is carried out in compliance with the Organisation’s safety requirements.
  • Maintains high quality of workmanship standards whilst being as efficient and cost effective as possible.
  • Brainstorms with relevant stakeholders and draws a diagrammatic representation of how requested service will be delivered.
  • Ensures Network/Data records are updated on job completion.
  • Gives feedback on resolved and pending enterprise faults
  • Ensures periodic maintenance of managed nodes, routers and switches.

Required Skills or Experience

  • BSc/HND in Telecommunication, Electrical Electronics Engineering or its equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years Telecoms or IT Industry experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering and quality standards.
  • Basic IP skills/CCNA preferred.
  • Must have clean driving record, and possess valid driving licence.
  • In-depth knowledge on GPON/FTTX/MSAN and IP/MPLS Technology.
  • In-depth knowledge on physical LAN/WAN wiring.

 

PERSON SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Exposure to a multicultural working environment.
