JOB PURPOSE
The successful applicant shall support the financial reporting function to co-ordinate a team of specialists to deliver monthly reports for the Organisation including financial and non-financial information.

• The role reports to the Financial Reporting Manager.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Reviews postings made into the ledger to ensure they are accurate.
• Provides all schedules and supporting documents required for internal & external audit purposes.
• Performs balance sheet reconciliations monthly and follows up with finance team members on any reconciling items.
• Follows up with finance team members to ensure control deficiencies are rectified.
• Reviews long outstanding accruals and ensure they are being cleared appropriately.
• Performs financial analysis to ensure all reported figures are accurate and investigate any outliers.
• Assists with responses to queries raised by stakeholders on monthly management reports.
• Contributes towards developing strong controls for financial processes and improving accurate recording of financial transactions.

Required Skills or Experience

• A minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting or Finance related field.
• Computer literate, strong in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Possess a strong understanding of financial transactions and accounting.
• Good understanding of the Telecom industry is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in the use of any accounting software and Microsoft packages.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IIFRS).
