Job Description

The Senior Administrative Officer role requires a dynamic individual with excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure the efficient and effective administrative operations of university services. The Senior Administrative Officer will collaborate with various departments, faculty, and staff to support the university's mission and goals.

Job Functions

  • Support the daily administrative operations of the university.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the university’s strategic plan.
  • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives across various departments.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the university’s budget.
  • Assist in recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for administrative staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and university policies.
  • Facilitate effective communication between administration, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Coordinate administrative support for university events, meetings, and projects.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students and staff

 

Required Skills or Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in an administrative or managerial role, preferably within an educational institution.
  • Strong understanding of university administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the use of office software applications (e.g., MS Office Suite) and familiarity with administrative management software

Terms of Appointment

  • The appointment shall be full-time.
