Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Group Secretary to provide administrative support to our executive team and ensure the smooth operation of our group activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the executive team, including managing schedules, correspondence, and meetings;
  • Represent the Group on legal meetings;
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, and reports for board meetings and other group meetings.
  • Maintain and update corporate records, including minutes of meetings, resolutions, and statutory registers.
  • Coordinate communication between the executive team and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including filing necessary documents with regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents and contracts.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Support the planning and execution of company events and initiatives.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the group.

Required Skills or Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Must be called to the bar and in good standing or in the process of getting called.
  • Proven experience as a Group secretary or administrative assistant, preferably in a corporate or legal setting.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in managing corporate records and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of supporting senior executives in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information

  • Proficiency in French is an added advantage.
  • A valid driving license is also an added advantage.
