Job Description


  • The Senior Manager, Country Sales is a key position in the management team which centralizes all the knowledge from members in the markets, their daily methods of operating, their organizations structures and the deliverables needed in order to make them sustainably grow their business. Support them to attract and retain members.
  • The role holder builds trusting relationships with Leaders and Members, and maintains communication channels with them through field and or virtual visits and participations at events - with the  expectation of understanding how success can be nurtured and channeled into sustainable increased sales for the countries.  
  • The role holder is able to adapt and prioritize activities including data for insight, present confidently to Leaders and Members and challenge them on how they will build their organizations and deliver excellent customer experience.     
  • The role holder can influence and will implement the sales strategy to ensure long term market growth including focus on Distributors business flows and DMO’s (Daily Methods of Operation) to optimize value. Deliver efficient Distributor and Customer events, communication and training, product and commercial marketing.  Ensuring content and actions enhance and protect the corporate brand.  Drive value from deeper community connections.
  • Proactively interacts with internal and external stakeholders to protect and enhance the Distributor and Customer experience.  Support Distributors to build customer loyalty and referrals, using appropriate channels.
  • May represent the Company in local Associations including, but not limited to the Direct Selling Association, as well as with the local lawyers and Tax and fiscal advisors, PR Agency and products licensing specialists.

General Sales Management:

  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase in sales and profitability. 
  • Have a in depth understanding of the Distributors Daily Methods of Operations and the way they conduct their businesses. 
  • Communicate with Distributor and Customer base frequently, proactively plan implementation of sales strategy, including (among other things) 
    • Sales & Recruitment / business building initiatives
    • Identified Member training needs
    • Sales & recruiting support tools
    • Effective communication with Members
  • Step in to day to day sales activities to ensure achievement of objectives as necessary and to be prepared to take on additional tasks as reasonably requested.
  • Provides and ensures timely and accurate management information to Sales Director and suggest relevant conclusions on matters of Sales 
  • Follow all documented corporate policies/procedures and execute on time. Ensure country conformance with company policies, practices and regulations at all times. Inform upper management of any incidents or concerns of Members.
  • Maintain professional working relationship with organizations which are deemed to further company business and opportunity in the company and such organizations are mutually served at all times, though the interests of the company should never become subservient to those of any umbrella organization. 

Sales & Commercial Marketing Strategy:

  • To interact with key leaders and Members to identify and track Members with future potential in order to establish relationships and understand Distributors way they work, sales and recruiting tools in use within the market, current strengths, needs and shortcomings and to develop plans and support to maintain a sustainable growth through healthy business practices while encouraging innovative ways of working. 
  • Conduct regular one to one calls, meetings and organization meeting with members with the aim to add value to their business. Identify ideas to help the overall country with local events or local initiatives that are aligned with the leaders. Ability to decipher promotional ideas from members metrics.
  • Managing relationships with top leaders – S&P, President’s team and TAB– carry on a constant open and honest communication and collaboration among distributors. Work on day-to-day and longer term planning on how to create new leadership by working closely at sub regional level and TAB level. 
  • Responsible for/ and to set agendas for local Member leadership (S&P and PT) meetings, chair and lead the meeting - unless lead by Sales Director 
  • Create ‘highflyers” teams and channels of communication and working with younger members in the business, adding value to their work and guiding them in their journey, motivating them to go forward and ensuring all is done the right way.
  • Own and effectively execute events that include best in class training and showcase best practice.
  • Develop promotions, commercial marketing campaigns, training plans and other sales driven activities, as a part of a coordinated market strategy for growth, working in conjunction with local leadership in market to achieve full buy in and support for such actions.
  • Overall responsibility for managing events program, through team, within budget. Ensure attendance targets at corporate run events and trainings hit targets.
  • Supporting Sales Director in agreeing sales and cost targets in annual budget cycle and during ongoing monthly re-forecasting exercises. 


  • Responsible for sales budget and forecasts 
  • Analyse relevant sales & recruiting figures, member statistics and be prepared to justify upward or downwards trends to Country Sales Director and regional management. Discuss market development ideas, special promotions and initiatives with all of the above.
  • Keep line management informed of any significant anomalies in the budgets and provide justifications as appropriate. Communicate sales initiatives effectively with Sales Director through qualitative feedback, at structured meetings.


  • Build strong, positive relationships with the teams/Members  in the relevant countries. Ensure team-oriented co-work within the company. 
  • Develop a team of direct reports to provide best support to the markets.
  • Monitor team performance, identify and resolve issues.
  • Provides leadership, motivation and guidance to the team. Ensure that the team is clear on how their roles contribute to the strategic and local success of the business. To conduct performance reviews, training, recruitment and disciplinary issues as they arise. In order to be able to play a clear role in these areas a strong relationship will need to be developed with the team and a good understanding of the strong and weak areas of each individual.
  • Leads development and identifies learning & development needs for the team


  • The position develop and manage ongoing relationships with the Member leadership in order to leverage support for corporate initiatives as well as to ensure that the company is in tune with their needs in growing the business – responding to such needs appropriately, as well as shaping the views and outlooks of those Members in order to achieve stable and continued market growth, brand awareness, and ethical conduct in the marketplace.

Supervisory responsibility

  • Direct reports: Sales & Marketing country team  


  • Interacts with all levels throughout the organization, including management team, staff, peers and colleagues throughout the world. 
  • Interacts with Members and customers. 
  • Interacts externally with vendors & service providers, PR Agency, Associations, all other external business partners.

Required Skills or Experience


  • Degree caliber / Business school or University degree
  • Proven people leadership experience
  • International outlook (experience in other multinational companies e.g., America (is a must)


  • Minimum 5-7 years working experience in /Sales management (not necessarily in the international Multi-level Marketing/Direct Selling industry). Working experience should ideally have been gained in more than one company including US subsidiary companies
  • Ideally experience in Commercial Marketing, PR,  regulations and ethics experience and connections with stakeholders in the nutrition world (associations, regulators, authorities),
  • Organizing & promoting corporate events, exhibitions, conferences & seminars (preferable)
  • Good working knowledge of Sales & Marketing, and Customer Service.


  • Native speaker; fluent in English (both written & oral); any additional language a plus but not essential.
  • Managing budgets; market analysis; analyzing sales figures, etc. understanding and interpretation ability of sales KPI’s and data to diagnose business condition, Distributors activity. Has experience working with complex data sets and ability to synthesize data and transform it into effective solutions.
  • Ability to prepare sales budgets and demonstrate control and accountability and good command in financial knowledge
  • Must be prepared to travel in country and abroad. Travel likely to include weekends. 
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office including MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams
  • Hands-on experience using modern digital tools, platforms and applications - skills and practical experience working with collaboration tools, project management systems, automation platforms, web tools, basic graphic design skills.


  • Confident & personable with excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills. A good persuader.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the areas of Public Relations and Sponsorship, Point of Sale, Sales Promotions, Direct Marketing, Packaging, Exhibitions and Events and Product launches. 
  • Media savvy (ideally experience representing a company to media)
