Job Description

The Transport Officer will be responsible for overseeing the transportation logistics and management of a company’s fleet of vehicles. The primary goal is to ensure efficient operations, regulatory compliance, cost-effectiveness, and safety of the fleet.
 
This role requires a blend of managerial skills, logistical expertise, and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and procurement. To ensure that vehicles and drivers are being utilized to their fullest potential in a safe and cost-effective manner.
 
Responsibilities
  • Ensure vehicle performance monitoring, record keeping, and improvement.
  • Work closely with drivers to ensure the effective flow of the processes and procedures.
  • Schedule vehicle maintenance and inspections.
  • Manage vehicle registration, insurance & compliance.
  • Maintain logistics records and prepare reports.
  • Laise with teams and department on vehicle allocation.
  • Report promptly to management on vehicle related issues.

Required Skills or Experience

  • HND or Diploma in Auto mechanic.
Skills or Experience
  • Proven experience in flet management or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team.
  • Good record keeping skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge in Organisational Health & Safety is an advantage.
